KrX in few words
KrX, a weird acronym with a cyberpunk edge, has exploded onto the contemporary cultural scene. In a show running about an hour in length, KrX gives a new meaning to the word « performance » and pulls it up to the standard we have been expecting the scenic arts would rise to in the early twenty-first century, something that, not unlike Godot, we had eventually come to think we were waiting for in vain.
KrX is a woman wrapped in a tight-fitting suit fashioned out of a survival blanket, a strong-willed reference to the thin gold and silver sheets of mylar covering the shoulders of the underprivileged, the migrants, the outcasts and the pariahs whom society manufactures with surprising efficiency.
KrX is a musician, alone behind her drum kit, sculpting a sonic spectrum with an electro soul dub mixed by Francky Osmond, while all around her the pyramids of light made up by the Système Métrique Collective – VJTomZ and Fredy Fruchard – pulsate in a dreamlike, elegant and subtle stasis, an hypnotic fantasy based upon its African roots but refusing to let itself be imprisoned by this formulaic legacy.
KrX is what you find at the intersection of past and future, this undefinable and sublime moment that we call the present. KrX is now.
